Hi there! Even though I make a smoothie (or two) every morning I rarely make the exact same thing twice. I have a basic formula that I follow, but the rest depends on what greens, seeds, nut milks, and fresh/frozen fruit I have on hand. This was one of those mornings where I was filling the blender up with the first thing that caught my eye and ended up with a really delicious concoction.
Tahini Berry Green Smoothie
1 banana
1 cup frozen berries (mine were cherries, blueberries, marionberries, and raspberries)
2 handfuls spinach
2 tablespoons tahini
1 1/2 cups almond milk (or more or less depending on how thick you like it)
Blend until smooth and enjoy.
So, it doesn't look green but it does have a fair amount of greens inside. And the tahini berry flavor combo is really wonderful. You should try it.
Hope you're having a great week!
*** I'm sharing this recipe over at Raw Foods Thursday link-up hosted by the Gluten-Free Cat. I cannot pass up a party hosted by cats. Or a party full of smoothies and other raw treat. Meow!

Yes! Me too!
DeleteI've never heard of a marionberry...what does it taste like? And I LOVE cherries in smoothies.
ReplyDeleteIt's like a blackberry. I don't know how else to describe it? :)
DeleteOooh this one sounds delicious! I've been on a smoothie kick lately, despite the frigid temperatures. I just got some tahini, I'll have to give this one a try!!
ReplyDeleteLet me know what you think!
DeleteI either left the same comment six times or left no comment at all. Either way, I apologize.
ReplyDeleteThis is the only one :)
DeleteOh yum. I love tahini on pretty much anything. I've had it with apricot jam but not berries! That sounds pretty great. It's funny - there are so many random smoothie concoctions and everyone's just like "ah I threw this this and this in" and they almost always come out delicious. The perfect food?
ReplyDeleteTahini + berries is my magical combination right now. They're great together. Yes, I do think it could be perfect.
DeleteHaa! A party hosted by cats! Thanks so much for linking up. I'm just loving the idea of tahini in my smoothie.
ReplyDeleteCat parties are best! xo
DeleteJust like with oats, I've never thrown tahini in a smoothie! But since I drink the things every morning I definitely have to try that.
ReplyDeleteThat's how I ended up trying it. The tahini was sitting next to the blender and the next thing I knew.... :)
