Hi! Last week I posted about a new favorite neighborhood spot. We went back to Harlow twice this week. Once for dinner and once for breakfast, and I was too distracted by the deliciousness take pictures. So, I guess that means I'll be going back and trying to have enough self control to snap pics before devouring the goodness. I will say that Harlow knows what to do with tempeh.
Tonight I went out for my new favorite salad, and I DID take pictures. My new salad obsession is at Veggie Grill. Meet the Savory Kale Caesar:
It has kale, romaine, tempeh bacon, cucumber, avocado, and a really nice creamy caesar dressing. If you want it to be gluten free, ask for no croutons. And because Tim knows how much I love fries, he ordered the sweet potatoes for us to share.
They come with vegan parm and a chipotle dipping sauce. Yum. Oh, and I always drink the ginger hibiscus tea.
So, I'm still eating out a lot. But, I did manage to make some of my own food. I'm trying, I really am.
This bowl was the best thing I made for myself this week. Mixed greens, steamed red kale, quinoa, avocado, and black sesame seeds. After the photo shoot it got slathered with tahini sauce and nooch.
Now, what I would like to do is recreate that kale caesar from VG. Does anyone know of a delicious vegan caesar dressing recipe? Maybe if I make it at home I can take a picture that isn't blurry?
Anyways, I'm trying to get some extra rest for the busy week ahead, so I'll say goodnight now. I hope your week is off to a good start. Cheers to making more homemade meals this week.
